Rites on Tuesday for Albert Swenson, Jewell Area Farmer

     Albert E. Swenson, farmer of the Jewell community died Saturday morning, Jan13 at the Beloit Community Hospital.  He was 64.

     Mr. Swenson was born near Kackley Oct. 5, 1903 the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Swenson.  He was a member of the Jewell Methodist church and the Masonic Lodge.  He was married to Mary Layton and they lived on a farm in the Kackley community until they moved the the Jewell community about 22 years ago.

     He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Marcia Marie Bannister of Bazine; one son, Edwin of Hays; three brothers: Carl, of Long Beach, Calif.; Homer, of Topeka; and his twin brother, Gilbert of Jamestown; a sister, Mrs. Lillian Morlang, of Salina.

     Funeral services will be held at the Jewell EUB church Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock and burial will be in the Jamestown cemetery.

     Respect calls for Albert E. Swenson may be made at the Blachly funeral home in Jamestown, until 11 a.m. Tuesday.
