Carl L. Johnson Memorial
The following was found on a 'program' for the funeral of Carl L. Johnson:
Carl L. Johnson, son of Arthur M. and Christine Johnson, was born at Kackley, Kansas, on March 20, 1910. He died at his home in Kackley on October 9, 1974 at the age of 64 years, 6 months, and 19 days.
Carl graduated from Kackley Grade School and High School. He attended Bethany College, Lindsborg; and Brown-Mackie School of Business in Salina.
He was united in marriage to Eva Mae Carney on May 26, 1937. To this union two children were born; Paul L. and Loretta C.
Carl was Postmaster, and owned and operated Johnson's Hardware and Grocery in Kackley.
He was a lifetime member of the Ada Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Eva; and two brothers: Arnold and Edgar.
He is survived by his son Paul L. and wife Ruth of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his daughter Loretta and her husband Maurice H. Hammer of Athens, Georgia; four grandsons; David, Mathew and Mark Johnson and Greg Hammer; cousins; other relatives; and a host of friends.
Carl was a loving father and devoted to his family.
