MARGARET CARNEY DIES

Miss Margaret Eleanor Carney, died at a local hospital on Tuesday, January 14, 1930.  Miss Carney had been in poor health for some time and had been a patient in a local hospital for the past several weeks.  

Margaret Eleanor Carney was born October 22, 1874 in Kackley, Kansas.  She came to Cloud County with her parents in 1891and has made her home here since that time.

She was a member of chapter AO of P E O. and of the Catholic Daughters of America.

Surviving Miss Carney are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Carney, one sister, Miss Grace Carney of the home and one brother, J. D. Carney, of Kackley.

Funeral services were held at the Cathedral this morning, at 9:30 o'clock and burial was made in the Catholic Cemetery.  The pallbearers were: Frank J. Schmitt, James O'Rourke, J. D. Cassidy, John Tieking, Frank Jordan and Hubert Shroff.

Miss Carney was one of the best know and most liked young ladies of the community and always, before her ill health, took active part in the church and civic club affairs.  She will be missed, not only by her relatives, but by a large number of friends as well.
