My Prayer

This hand-written poem was also between pages of a 'scrap book'.  There is no indication of who wrote it, or about whom it was written.  But I thought it deserved preservation.

My Prayer

Dear God, please take good care of him,

Wherever he may be;

Watch over him and comfort him

And keep him safe for me

Please give him strength and courage, God,

To bear the aching pain

That he must feel for all the things here

He longs to see again.

Thank You Dear God, for love like ours

That reaches O'er the see

And thank You, God, for keeping us

Together, spiritually

Please keep him trusting, loving me

Until we meet again

And tell him every night how much

I love him, God, Amen
